Business Applications Manager

The North Texas Food Bank is seeking a Business Applications Manager whose primary purpose will be to development essential business applications related to day-to-day operations and user support. The successful candidate will possess the technical knowledge and skills to effectively evaluate, analyze, implement, test, and support custom software applications across all facets of the organization. Principle Duties and responsibilities will include: Develop configuration and performance standards for network; and implement and monitor controls to ensure they are maintained; Maintain detailed understanding of all applications, financial and administrative work processes and procedures; Conduct ongoing benchmarking/external assessment of leading business practices and technologies; Work with functional management to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities; Convert business flow analysis into software design specifications; Define improvement projects and manages project implementation; Work with system users during implementation and on an ongoing basis to ensure systems are fully understood and utilized by users; Design and implement reporting standards for current application suite; Assist other IT team members with general technology support and operations as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field or minimum of 3-5 years of IT operations. Experience in applications development, programming or report writing; Comprehensive knowledge of database programming or administration. Thorough understanding of how systems software and applications impact operations and proven track record of writing policies and procedures. Candidate must also demonstrate background in administrative and operations functions and interrelationships. Experience with iMIS, Ceres Navision and SQL Server preferred.

Director of Development

The North Texas Food Bank seeks an experienced Director of Development who has the ability to design and implement comprehensive funding strategies and campaigns to secure immediate and long-term funding for the North Texas Food Bank. The Development Director will lead and supervise Development staff and their projects and will direct programs and procedures necessary to grow annual revenue. Incumbent will also oversee the development of an aggressive schedule for the research and submission of grant proposals targeted to prospective funding sources. The Development Director will identify, cultivate, and build relationships with potential donors from the business community in the North Texas area. He/she will then develop, implement and oversee such prospects from the initial point of contact through completion of a gift.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or a related field and five to seven years of development experience major gift giving (1 million+), corporate support, foundation grants, annual campaigns, charitable annuities and special event planning. Candidate must have superb written, analytical, presentation, and public speaking skills. Specialized training in fundraising highly desired, e.g., Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Certification as Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE); or CSPG (Certified Specialist in Planned Giving) offered through college-sponsored certification program. Good computer skills with database management experience with strong supervisory experience required. Excellent proofreading skills are required, along with a high level of personal integrity. The ideal individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with change or unexpected events. Salary range 65k-80k DOE
