REACH a goal. Aim high, a goal will help keep the team motivated!  Ten pounds or ten food items feeds a family of four for one day.

REMEMBER your management team. There are many ways to get your management team to help make your food drive a success.

  • Encourage executives to show company support by sending a staff email reminding them of the importance of participating in the food drive.

  • Have your company match employee donations. Ex., your company might give $1 for each pound of food donated.

  • Set up a day for executives and their staff to volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank.

  • Challenge an executive to perform an outrageous activity if your goal is met.

RAISE awareness.  The more your employees know about the issue of hunger in North Texas, the more likely they will feel connected and want to participate in the food drive.  Call the Food Bank to schedule a representative to talk to your organization about hunger in North Texas or to schedule a warehouse tour.

You can also raise awareness by publicizing your food drive through, email blasts, paycheck inserts, newsletters and bulletin board announcements.

RESULTS, RESULTS, RESULTS!  The North Texas Food Bank will send you an acknowledgement letter informing you of the amount of your donation and the number of meals you provided.

All cash donations will remain anonymous unless a list of individual donors are specified.

You CAN do it!
